The causes we hold close to our hearts
ANAD
ANAD, or the National Association of Anorexia Nervosa and Associated Disorders, is a non-profit that "provides free, peer support services to anyone struggling with an eating disorder, regardless of age, race, gender identity, sexual orientation, or background." DPhiE works with ANAD to create a safe and uplifting environment for those struggling with eating disorders. Every spring, DPhiE hosts a week-long ANAD awareness event called ANAD Week. DPhiE holds a variety of events during this week, including Makeupless Monday, Trash Your Insecurities Tuesday, and an ANAD Fashion Show to raise money and awareness for this important cause.
Multiple Sclerosis, also known as MS, is a disease that affects the body's central nervous system. It "disrupts the flow of information within the brain, and between the brain and body," causing the immune system to attack the central nervous system. DPhiE strives to raise awareness and money for those struggling with Multiple Sclerosis. In Spring 2025, DPhiE hosted an MS Cake Decorating event to raise awareness for Multiple Sclerosis. DPhiE also hosts an annual MS Fall Fest to educate students about Multiple Sclerosis.

Cystic Fibrosis
Cystic Fibrosis, or CF, is a genetic disease that affects the lungs, pancreas, and other organs. This causes thick, sticky mucus to build up in the lungs, digestive system, and other organs. DPhiE proudly supports the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, which is the "world's leader in the search for a cure for CF." Every fall, DPhiE hosts a male fashion show to raise money and awareness for CF. This event is called Deepher Dude, and it is an effective and fun way to raise awareness for such an important cause.
DIMES for DPhiE
DIMES for DPhiE is an annual digital fundraiser for the DPhiE Educational Fund. It takes place during March and is named after DPhiE's five founders (Dorothy, Ida, Minna, Eva, and Sylvia). The donations made from the DIMES for DPhiE fundraiser support scholarships, leadership training, and educational programs nationwide.
